Mobee is a Boston startup with a mobile app that rewards its users with gift cards and cash for providing feedback about local businesses. Information that is normally received through traditional mystery shopping trips and merchandising audits can now be gathered and verified instantaneously.

1. Who are you and what is great about your job?
My name is Erika, and I am the Community Manager at Mobee. Besides working with an amazing team on the coolest iOS app ever (ok, I may be a little biased), I get to interact with our current users every day! I have the opportunity to hear new ideas, help solve problems, and better understand how our current users use Mobee. It’s exciting to speak with the people who use our product so much. There’s a lot you can learn a lot from them!

3. What would be the title of a blog about your life?
Wishing there were 34 hours in a day…
4. If you could have a gift card to buy any one thing, what would it be?
Right now a gift card to a Japanese restaurant in Boston would be nice. I’ve been craving sushi lately! Ask me any other day though, and I’d probably say a gift card for a concert/ticket provider would be greatly appreciated.
5. What’s one prediction you have for the gift card / rewards / loyalty / gamification industry in 2022?
Well, everything is already digital, so saying that physical gift cards are going to become 100% extinct is kind of lame. This may sound crazy but there is a lot going on with GPS and geolocation these days. Gift cards that track and display on your social media pages the locations of the stores you’re shopping at, maybe even the products your buying in real time? That’s instant advertising for products and brands!
