Question of the week: What if I have more than one Tango Card?

Today we’re kicking off a regular segment of the Tango Card blog – Question of the Week.

What if I have more than one Tango Card?

Your Tango Card balance reflects the total number of unspent dollars activated to your account. This means that you can combine Tango Cards to get a bigger gift card. The only scenario where you can’t combine Tango Cards is for cash redemptions; these are completed on a per-card basis.

If I had more than one Tango card. I would cash out and buy gifts for as many of my family members that I could with the amount that I have. Sharing is caring.

I found this blog while looking to see if it was possible to combine Tango cards. However, I was curious if it’s possible to combine them into ONE Tango card. See, I only get Tango cards (so far) by redeeming the points I earn on Bing searches–I’ve found of the rewards I actually want, it’s cheaper for the dollar value to get the Tango card and redeem THAT for an Amazon card than it is to redeem my points directly for Amazon.
However, that means every card I ever get will be $5.00 each. No more, no less. And if I wait to build up a higher balance on Tango before redeeming for Amazon credit, I will build up more cards rather than a higher balance on one card. In addition, if I wish to redeem them for cash instead, each $5.00 will be treated as a separate transaction; apparently I can’t do all of them at once. Is there a way to combine the cards into one to get past this problem?

Also, is there a way to buy these locally?
I have student loans, but my relatives have no interest in giving me cash gifts because they think I’ll waste it on games, but they have no problems giving me gift cards to places I never shop at….

Thanks for asking us these great questions.
      1) If you create an account at, then when you activate your cards and log in they will all add to a single balance. If you want to cash out, simply use all of your balance to send yourself a Tango Card. Once you activate that card back into your account then you will have one large Tango Card that you can cash out.
      2) There is not a way to buy them locally – if you mean in a store. However, they are available for purchase by credit card on our website – – at any time.

Please always feel free to ask any and all questions!
