Rewarding Prospects and Increasing Engagement Numbers

AdvancedMD is cloud software for independent medical practices that deliver industry leading patient outcomes and financial performance. They depend on product demos for prospects in order to grow sales. Looking for a way to incentivize prospects to complete demos online, they turned to Tango Card.  We sat down with Brett Christiansen, Marketing Director at AdvancedMD, to see how he was able to increase customer engagement by 41-60% with e-gift cards. 

How do you work with Tango Card?

We have used Tango Card for a couple of years now and it is very easy. I prepay for gift cards ahead of time. Tango Card sends me an invoice for an amount I determine.

We simply upload an excel file order through the Rewards Genius Web Portal. I then receive an automated email as confirmation, then a second email showing my account balance. The details, including emails, that I list on the spreadsheet sends a personalized message to them. They generally receive the email within the next day.

Who do you send rewards to and for what reason?

 We send rewards to prospects for attending online demos of our software and to employees for certain contests, such as re-posting news on their personal social media accounts. The prospect attends a product demo gets a gift card. The employee who receives the most likes, shares and views/impressions gets a gift card.

What kind of rewards do you use at AdvancedMD?

We offer $10 gift cards to either Starbucks or Amazon for attending a demo. Due to healthcare regulations, we cannot offer more.

We also offer $50 gift cards to employees for various promotions, including posting to their personal social media accounts.

Prior to working with Tango Card, how were rewards fulfilled at AdvancedMD?

Prior to working with Tango Card, we would purchase gift cards at a retail store or prizes to give to employees.

What are some of the challenges you faced prior to working with Tango Card?

  • Had to physically go to a store to purchase the gift cards or items
  • Had to expense the gift card or items I purchased at a retail store
  • Had to guess what products our employees would want

Now that you work with Tango Card, what improvements have you experienced?

  • Reduced the time to manage/fulfill rewards

We’ve seen a 41-60% decrease in time and cost associated with managing/fulfilling rewards as well as a 41-60% increase in customer loyalty and acquisition/offers/rebate engagement.
